US!!!

So yeah had a rough month lol. On June 30th I went into pay my rent, and told them I needed to sign another year lease, because my previous lease was up. She said they were booked this month?? She would call me. Never called so I called twice. Never got a call back. Finally, on Aug 6th, 36 days after my lease was up I get a phone call. She says " So yeah we need you to sign a new lease, and by the way, your rent is going up $45. We will be there Monday to inspect and sign the lease"

I was like WHAT? I am NOT paying $700 a month for this teeny town house.. NO WAY. She says oh, so you are giving your 30 days then?

So I told her I'd call her back. I call my husband and he says he isn't willing do get locked into another year at this place paying that much. When we could rent a house for $100 more a month.

So seeing as how I paid first, last and deposit. I wrote them a letter and sent it off saying I had paid for August, and Sept. I am paid up until OCT. 1st. Never heard a word back. They have played so many games with us its ridiculous. Like not fixing things when they come up.. so on and so forth.

So the good news is we found a house already, its awesome and I am totally in LOVE with it. We move in at the end of September. We have a little over 30 days left to go through stuff and pack. I am so excited.

Now the bummer, I have to downsize my collection a little. I am going to get down to 2 snakes, 1 boa, and my ball python who I have had since he was a baby. He was a rescue, and he is my baby. I am also keeping my beardie, since all of us have bonded with her.
I have homes for my adult cresties. I need to find a home for my Tokay, and male boa.
It will be less stressful for everyone if I am only down to 3 animals. I am really sad about it, but its for the best.

So thats what going on with us!!

Wow...that kinda stinks that you have to get rid of some of your babies...but super cool you get an actual house now. Congrats. Hope the move goes well for all of you.

It does suck. I love all my animals. It was really hard to choose which ones are staying. The ones that are I am super close with, they may not have bonded with me, but I certainly have with them.

The cresties aren't too bad, main reason being is they are going to a good friend of mine that I talk to on a daily basis.
The male boa on the other hand:( That makes me sad. He is a total sweetheart. My Tokay and I have a Love Hate relationship, I love watching her but hate cleaning out her cage, and having to handle her. She hates every aspect of my human existence lol.
