nice job! had to laugh when I seen you had the same shelves as me.. dunno why at my age I should get over the whole "omg someone has the shit as me!!" anyway ... are all your snakes living quarters adequate for full grown (doesn't know what you have and if adult.. you have too many!) or are ya going to have to do a reshuffle later on? and can I have some of those peacock feathers... they are fabulous darling

No, they're not all full sized yet. I already know, and plan on, shuffling things around. I'm in the process of building four 4x2 tanks for my boas, and one GIANT tank for my baby burm. The only one's I'll really have to shuffle are my 7 baby corns, 2 baby black racers, my boas, and my baby burm. But when I move the boas and burm, that'll free up enough cage space for at least some of the corns. I'll just have to get another rack or two! haha.

Then that giant tank is going to be a breeder tank (basically, I can throw a pair on each side so I can monitor them). When we finally start doing that, we're going to alternate feeding and such so we can have two pair in the breeder tank for 3 days, take them out, and cycle another pair of pairs.

I think I see empty terrariums. What's going in them? Empty vivs/bins are "just in case". I do reptile rescue, and I've had people knock on the door, hand me a snake, and leave. So they're my "backup" temp houses.

Few questions bud... You live in a trailer no? Well, a single trailer is about a burmese's cage... So what are you going to do about that? Specially if you're serious bout going to the glades n getting urself another.
OK, I will number these so you can reply 1; and it will be easy for me to read.
1. Burmese and cage, where and how... and its barely gotten bigger and that is rather unusual for a burm. Despite what everyone says.
2. Is that Josie in a 29? Um, aint she around 5 foot? Seems a little small, so what you planning to do with her? Aint she suspose to get bigger to? That I would not know, because I never paid attention to her 'breed'.
3. Kind of funny how BOTH of your dum's are in the watter dish, mites maybe?? Maybe thats the same bottom as you had when we visited you in the summer... Looks mighty alike. They are agressive babies, so maybe you cant clean it out but that bottom is a breeding nest for mites and really should be.
4. Did you seriously spray your cornsnakes 'cages'/bins? Its almost what, 90 % humidity year round... But you sprayed them? They are not that needing of moisture. Or maybe something else happened but odd how ALL of them are like that... WAY TO HUMID. Specially if the bottoms are bed-a-beast or some form of that type of bedding.
5. Your burmese looks to be in a 10... Might be wrong, but is not a 40 or 55 or higher... What size is it?
6. 32 snakes? Breeding? 1 beardie? And I will guess you dont plan on stopping... I dont know but it seems more like a pissing contest with you. LOOK WHAT I HAVE! Not, I LOVE MY BABIES AND LOOK HOW WELL KEPT THEY ARE. Maybe that needs to change.
Yeah, I will prolly get banned from the site for this, but you really have been bothering me, and I am willing to bet - I am not the only one.
Robbie? You cant afford to run a rescue, you dont know anything about lizards, you dont have room, you dont know what to do on the whole. 5 Boas? 1 Burmese? That right there is more than your house can hold, little yet all your new additions. Just give it some thought, are you trying to be all big and great or are you really in it for the right reasons? Cause if so - stop getting more and get the babies you have in propper cages and FEED THEM RIGHT! Specially the burmese - it really is no bigger than before but an CM wider and maybe a half inch longer... thats not right.

Cause if so - stop getting more and get the babies you have in propper cages and FEED THEM RIGHT! Specially the burmese - it really is no bigger than before but an CM wider and maybe a half inch longer... thats not right. 1) The burm is having a custom cage built. The dimensions are going to be 8x5x2. 2) Josie is getting bumped up. I have several larger vivs coming to me within the next couple of weeks. 3) It's cypress. It's been changed at least once a month since then, with spot cleanings in between complete overhauls. As far as mites, they've both been checked over and over and over again for mites because of the soaking. When I treated Shesmu's mites, I treated everyone's tanks, just to be safe. Since then, I have not seen a single mite anywhere. 4) Where did I say I sprayed my corns? I only mist a little bit when they're in a shed cycle! And that's ONLY if they're soaking! 5) As I previously said, Shesmu is going to be getting a much larger tank. He's going to be bumped up to a 45 in about 2 weeks. Then he's going to the 90. And after that, he's getting his custom tank. 4 of the boas are also getting custom tanks. The 5th boa is a Solomon Island ground boa, and will need a tank no larger than a 20. 6) No, I don't plan on stopping. Yes, I am in it for the reptiles. Yes, it might be a bit much for my house to hold right now. As far as whether or not it's a "pissing contest", I've seen people put more snakes in less space. I know a person that has well over 100 corns, 20 bps, 10 hondos, and a few asian ratsnakes in a room ABOUT THE SIZE OF MY SNAKE ROOM. Their bins consist of a water dish/hide, and their bedding. All of the snakes are perfectly healthy. As far as my feeding. How do you know how often I feed? I've been feeding once a week religiously. My burm is on 2 adult mice per feeding at the moment. You say he's not getting bigger, yet I can see a visible difference. You want me to stop getting more, yet I see you and Leandra selling something just to get something else. You've traded off more animals than I can count. You say I'm not in it for the herps, but I just can't sell my snakes or trade them off like that. When they breed, I can sell the babies, but that's because I have no attachment to them yet. You say I'm not able to afford to do a rescue. How do you know what my finances are like? I'm sick and tired of defending my practices with you. If you don't like the way I do things, ignore me. I really don't care. Your way is NOT the only way to do things, and you would do well to remember that.

After looking at the pictures again, I realized what you were talking about in #4. The condensation was due to fresh bedding, and was still warm and moist.

XTC you won't get banned for speaking your mind so long as it never turns into little kids bickering. This however is not a forum for personal BS like finances to be discussed.
Snakes will spend time in the water dish sometimes without having mites, for example during a shed...or just being odd, if however it's an all the time thing that would be a concern. All my animals shed around the same time and all have weird habits.....I can guarantee you mine are mite free, however I won't guarantee anyone elses.
If I need to reply more or lock the thread later I will but I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume you can sort this out like adults.

I want to know when I sold something to get something else for one thing? I take things in when they need a home for whatever the reason may be JUST AS YOU DO. And I find them new homes when they are ready to leave. So don't drag that into this argument. I can name every single animal that has come in and out of my house in this past year, I can go beyond that if you really wanted me to, just because I don't keep every single one of them doesn't mean that I don't care about them. Sometimes it is in an animals best interest to not be in my home for whatever reason. Do you see me selling my PERSONAL pets? No! Why is that? Oh that's right because I care about them! So don't go attacking me for selling/adopting out something that is ready to move on so I can take in and help something else. You're right you don't sell anything except babies, but I haven't even seen that because if I remember correctly all but 1 or 2 of them died.

OK Robbie, you're right I got rid of 3 of my 'personal' if you'd call something that I had for a week and was not what I was looking for.
I got a nile, was tame. I got a blood and a carpet, both tame. I want something that will be a challenge, so YES I did trade them in - but to a very respectable store with close friends. You might know them, Scales and Tails Rich and Kenny and Wes... Maybe not...
So this custom cage is going to fit in your trailer? Huh, love to see some pics man! Shesmu aint grown, that is that - sorry to point it out so roughly but I have seen him in person, and compared the pics. Then I have looked at all the burms I DID rescue, and their growth. And the 3 we used to have as personal pets. Low and behold, they all grew much much more... and I think your 1/30 is not different by THAT THAT much. Sorry.
Not to bring financials into this, but if I remember correctly you moved down there due to your rents paying for the pad, and school. Well, Maybe you both have jobs and they continue to pay for the stuff and you can easily afford everything thus forth - But I am curious what the bill is a week for all your pets? Just curious for when we move to my 5000 sq foot house n get some more babies our self. I dont mean to pry at all in this, just very curious - I mean that from my heart.
As far as what Sidney said - god its weird to call her that - but we have detailed records of sheds, who ate and what, day we got them, who they went to, the people they came from, get pictures of them when we ask or after sheds n so forth, and we have names for all our snakes (as hard as it is for us to name something).
So as I see, we've both shot down your attack on us. You bring up someone who has MORE snakes than you in same ammount of space, congrats man... Now you are a moron for the simple fact of - I CAN PUT A SNAKE IN A LITTLE ROUND GLAD WARE - AND IT WILL LIVE... SO WHAT? DOES NOT... LEMME SAY THAT AGAIN... DOES NOT NOT NOT NOT MAKE IT RIGHT!!!! Plus, as I see - your snakes are all pretty nippy... NONE of ours is, not even my like - 2 month old carpet, or even my nile! Nor was the blood, or the green tree baby, or any balls or her corn snake. Odd aint it? Trying to put the YOU'RE IN IT FOR A PISSING CONTEST type of deal on us, when our animals are all in good cages, handled DAILY, all nice, and all are doing great.
I am sorry Tux and Wookie and Clem... I have only had but a few posts, and have already caused the thing I hate most - drama. But I can not let bad owners go without something being said. I know some where in you're minds you see that Robbie's collection might be a bit over sized or could easily turn into a problem, but see - I am not a nice guy like everyone else and will full on speak my mind. I am sorry, and if me being banned is your decision I will not try to cause any issues.
By the way, I am going to be posting some pictures of all the babies soon, just waiting for one last baby to shed, and my nile I will post pictures of within 24 hours with cage - even though he's in his shed.

Oh yeah, just a refference... Attack Sidney like that again and I wont be as nice.
Here's a really good example for ya of WHY she is a great mother. Feeding day - Dec 15th. She placed the rat in the cage with Sidney and Sidney grabbed the rat wrong and was about to get nipped/bitten and she grabbed the rats head and broke it clean open to save her baby and didnt have a second thought about it. Not much? Eh maybe to some of you, but she loves her babies a lot more than most people in the world love their dogs and cats and so forth. NOT SAYING REPTILES ARE LESS, JUST SAYING.

Me nice? hahaha I can tell you were not around for RR or mt many chats on things like inbreeding, I tell it straight. I haven't been to Robs home and pictures are hard to gauge from, i do not know his finances, his living arrangement or his snakes temperaments. I can't come out and say he's a bad keeper without more actual proof. Leandra knows me well enough by now to know I am reasonable but not afraid to make waves either. I do things a bit differently than anyone else with every animal I own but the reasoning behind that is that just like humans reptiles are each a little different.
As for the banned comment....see my previous post. If you would all like to come in chat I could moderate, or you can continue to post it here for the world to see.
BTW that's the reason to stun the rat 1st if feeding live, also if dangling the rat correctly the 1st strike should pretty much incapacitate it.

Not much? Eh maybe to some of you, but she loves her babies a lot more than most people in the world love their dogs and cats and so forth. NOT SAYING REPTILES ARE LESS, JUST SAYING. I've done the exact same thing on more than one occasion. It was because of that drama that I switched ALL of my snakes to pre-killed. Some of my snakes are nippy. Big whoop! Every snake has a different personality. They're not all going to be saints, even with daily handling. You asked how much my weekly feeding bill is. It's $43.50. There's a local reptile store that gives me a great deal for buying as many rodents as I do. You keep mentioning that Shesmu is the same size as he was. Have you seen him in person SINCE that day? No. How can you be so sure? Picture comparison? That's not the best for a comparison. Even if he is growing slowly, all snakes have a different growth rate. I've seen '06 corns that were 400+ grams. While mine personally aren't that big, it happens. EVERY ANIMAL IS DIFFERENT. Sid, it was all but 2. The other 2 that died were non-feeders. One was not in my possession when it died. The one that I did have, I did everything to save INCLUDING assist feeding. Yes, my collection is a bit large, but that's MY choice, not yours. If my animals are healthy, I don't see a problem with it. If you have a problem with the way I keep my snakes, take it to a PM. I don't need to defend my practices, but if need be, I will.

Hey, Tuxy, yeah I know how to dangle it right but Sidney has to be the PICKIEST ball python that I have ever seen. IF I don't hold it a particular way she won't take it, she won't take it stunned, I've tried believe me. Either way, I'm done with this thread.
